Meet Karla.
I am from Ireland but now live in West Sussex in the UK with my boyfriend. I’ve recently taken a break from my 7-year career as a cabin crew flying for an Irish airline. Currently, I am working as a property coordinator, and I enjoy not being constantly fatigued from shift work and jet lag...a skin no-no!
How did you start your skincare Instagram account?
I started my skinstagram at the end of June 2020 in the middle of our first lockdown as a creative outlet. My handle came from the fact I fly for a living, hence the name @beautyintheclouds. I’ve found such a passion in this community; the people are lovely, and I’ve made some friends for life. I’ve been a skincare and beauty addict for as long as I remember and want to find a way to channel that passion. I’m so glad I took the plunge in starting my page - despite the initial worry that nobody would follow me and it wouldn’t take off, but it has been such a positive experience, and I continue to enjoy it every day.
What is an interesting fact about you?
I am a professionally trained actor and classical singer. I worked in this field for two years; however, I found the industry too cutthroat and inconsistent; therefore, I decided to start flying.
How do you like to use Apoth and Co’s lip care products?
I started using Apoth & Co’s lip products about six months ago and have never looked back. I love that it is a three-step system to give you your best lips. I use the Lip Care Trio around three times a week to keep my lips looking and feeling their best.
Do you incorporate lip care into your daily skincare regime?
I incorporate the Moisturising Lip Balm into my Am & Pm routine. I use the Exfoliating Lip Scrub and Hydrating Lip Mask three times a week.
Which Apoth product or tool do you like the most?
I adore the Exfoliating Lip Scrub. It buffs away all those horrible dead skin cells on your lips, leaving them smooth and re-texturised and ready for lip balm or lipstick. I also love the mini gua sha tool (Rose Quartz Spatula & Sculpting Tool) for the lips. Such a clever little tool to either apply your product and do a concentrated lip massage stimulates blood flow in the lips, leaving them nicely plumped.

I’m a 22-year-old skincare and makeup fanatic. I’m about to go into my third and final year at university studying Business and Marketing, where I hope to work in the skincare and makeup world of social media and PR.
I started my Instagram page to connect with other creators who were just as passionate about skincare as I was!
How do you like to use Apoth and Co’s lip care products?
I love using the Apoth and Co. Lip products to prep my lips and keep them moisturised. While I like to do an entire lip care routine of an evening, the Moisturising Lip Balm is always on my lips before makeup to ensure my lipstick always looks amazing and glides on easily.
Do you incorporate lip care into your daily skincare regime?
Lip care is just as important as skincare, so I usually do my lip care routine daily with my evening skincare. I alternate between the Exfoliating Lip Scrub and the Lip Buffer to start with, buffing my lips in circular motions to ensure my lips are prepped for the next steps. I then go in with the Hydrating Lip Mask and leave it on for a few minutes before washing it off. Then I go in with the Moisturising Lip Balm to lock all that moisture in.
Which Apoth product or tool do you like the most?
The Rose Quartz Spatula & Sculpting Tool is a dream to use. It works well at scooping the right amount of product out, and it also feels cooling and calming on my lips.

I am 19 years old and have been in the makeup industry since I was 16, working as a freelancer and on a beauty counter.
I try to use my Instagram page for all sorts of things like makeup, fashion etc. (but it’s mostly makeup 😂).
What is an interesting fact about you?
I loveee Elephants, like everything about them I loveee!! 🐘
How do you like to use Apoth and Co’s lip care products?
After a big glam look, I love using the products; usually, I have created a look that involved many products on my face/lips. The feeling after is the best, and you just know you’re giving your lips the hydration they need ✨
Do you incorporate lip care into your daily skincare regime?
I try to use the products twice a week. My lips aren’t too dry, so I like to use it when I need it, but I always have the Moisturising Lip Balm on me 🙌🏻
Which Apoth product or tool do you like the most?
The Moisturising Lip Balm is my fav! I always have it on me. I love peppermint; it makes my lips feel super fresh. 🧼
